Holden for Congress | Campaign Update

First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your unwavering support and engagement throughout my journey in the race for New York’s 21st Congressional District. Since the summer of 2023, this experience has been both challenging and rewarding.

Upon being approached to run against Stefanik after my previous race against Tenney, I embraced the opportunity with a sense of duty and honor. Balancing my responsibilities in D.C. with my campaign efforts proved to be demanding, yet not unfamiliar territory, given my past experiences serving in the Army stationed across the U.S. and deployed multiple times.

In recent weeks, I traversed the district extensively, covering hundreds of miles to engage with voters and collect signatures. I cherished the moments spent in the homes of constituents, engaging with their families, and listening attentively to their concerns and aspirations.

Ultimately, I fell short of obtaining the required number of petitions to secure a spot on the ballot. While navigating this process, I observed disparities in the treatment received by different candidates. It was communicated to me that there would be equal treatment among candidates regarding certain advantages. However, upon closer scrutiny, it became apparent that this was not entirely accurate. I anticipate that these observations will be illuminated for the voters of NY21 in the coming weeks.

As we reflect on this journey, I am reminded of the importance of perseverance and integrity in the face of challenges. Though this chapter may be closing, I am optimistic about the future and the opportunities it holds. I want to wish a special thanks to my team and the volunteers who gave up their time and energy to help the campaign. Thank you once again for your unwavering support, and I look forward to continuing to serve our community in other capacities.
